Is Imposter Syndrome Good?

If you have imposter syndrome, you’re doing something right.

You’ve heard of imposter syndrome, right? It’s that feeling of inadequacy we experience sometimes when we start a new project or job.

The next time you experience that skeptical and self-searching feeling, lean into it. It’s a sure sign that you’re on the right track.

First of all, imposter syndrome is a signal that you’re doing work that’s important to you. (Always a good thing!) It’s fine to feel a bit nervous and uncomfortable. In fact, feeling stretched is confirmation that you’re innovating, leading, and building towards change.

We aren’t born into our roles and titles; these are things that we earn. It’s normal to feel growing pains along the way. Practice more and continue to grow in the role.
